Character Name: Elena Reinhardt
Series: Final Fantasy VII, Advent Children, Before Crises

Physical Description:
The most noticable thing about Elena is the delicate, thin shape of her face; gentle-looking cheekbones give her an almost fragile look, and emphasize the small smattering of freckles that run across her cheeks. A pert nose and pouty, round lips add to the look. Doe-like brown eyes that stand out magnificently from under small black lashes fit as well, at a first glance, but a look of cynicism or boredom can often be found in them. Elena's silky blonde hair is kept short, in a cute and trendy yet simple bob. Reaching around from just below ear level on the left side of her face, it curves down far enough so that the tip of her hair is an inch away from brushing her shoulder on the right. Her demeanor is a rather quiet one, but the girl tends to give off a quietly attentive vibe rather than a disinterested one.

Personality:
Elena is somewhat stuck up, having grown up as a member of the Upper Class and never visiting any other part of town before. Although she does expect things and to get her way, Elena is not quite spoiled, as she does work for them- to some degree. 'Entitled' would be the perfect word here. She's very much a perfectionist, with high standards and expensive taste, although this can get her feeling bad about herself just as easily as anyone else.

Her parents are very controlling, dictating that Elena take 'random' things such as piano lessons (she's quite good, for the record) and then showing off their only daughter as more of a trophy than someone they love. She's been somewhat brainwashed by this, even if she does feel disdainful and rebellious often. Although she can buckle down and achieve almost anything she puts her mind to, Elena does not handle stress well on the inside any may often freak out about insignificant things.

Growing up with caretakers hired for her, Elena never was particularly close to her parents, and they become more like symbols than actual people to her. She will say she resents them for this, but even though she realizes they don't really know her very well she still tries her hardest to please them and would never seriously disobey them. Elena is a people pleaser, and tends to crash when criticized for anything relatively important.

Strengths: 
very good with all types of guns, notably accomplished pianist, good at assessing and adapting to social situations, naturally very book-smart 
Weaknesses: 
a little arrogant and spoiled, doesn't handle stress well, suffers from stereotypical teenage self-confidence issues

History: 
Elena grew up never wanting anything she couldn't have, as she was a member of the Upper Class, with her father being the founder and President of Reinhardt Weapons Manufacturing, Inc (a major weapon-manufacturing and distribution company). Because of this profession, Elena was taught to use every type of gun that the company made, though she has never shot at anything living before. In normal overachiever fashion, however, she's won numerous city-wide awards for her exceptional marksmanship.

Other activities that Elena whas been pushed to pursue include piano, drawing, ballet (though she hated it and finally recently convinced her parents to let her quit) and, of course, her schoolwork. She also writes poetry in her spare time, but she doesn't let her parents see that. She's quite addicted to writing in her journal as well, and is a formidable writer.

As is the case with most Upper Class children and teens, Elena attended a private school (skipping 3rd grade in the process)- and one of the most elite ones in the city, at that. She is now starting her second year at a prestigious, elite college in the area and hopes to double-major in Business and Political Science, with a minor in Communications. It's very rigorous and Elena grudgingly excels, finding herself only vaguely interested with the work but doing well all the same. She is very bummed and bitter that, because of how close to her home the college is, her parents have decided to 'let' her keep living at home with them rather than in a dorm.

Most children who are given everything they want growing up and don't get much direct love and attention from their parents grow up to be either inexcusably bratty and childish, or naive and yet still jaded and cynical beyond belief. Elena falls into the latter category.
